Hi there, my name is Johanna (pronounced yo-ha-na) and I am a Graphic Designer located in Scottsdale, Arizona! "Johbeth" is a nickname my Dad was planning to use for me before I was born, combining my first name and middle name, Elizabeth.

Speaking of my Dad, my design journey started looking over my Dad's shoulder as he edited photos in Photoshop. He is a realtor, and takes and edits his own photos of his listings. Sometimes he needed a little help with the workload, so I learned how he would edit his windows from being blown out to having the correct exposure in which you could actually see through them. He showed me what a layer mask is and began a long, loving relationship between me and Photoshop.

A decade, college, and quite a lot of time spent in Adobe XD later, Photoshop is still my favorite Adobe program to use. I earned my Bachelors of Fine Arts at Samford University, and am currently pursuing a Professional Certificate in UX Design through Google.

As a designer, I gravitate toward using photography and photographic elements in my designs. I also love typography, minimal color schemes, and considering the user's experience when they interact with a design. I am aware that not all viewers, customers, or users are the same, and that designs need to be created with all minds in mind.  However, when it comes to personal design and designs I do for fun, I am largely influenced by the interprative nature of fine art and how emotion is expressed in that space.
